Insurance got more expensive this year. Not to mention that we need to pay extra for Atlantic area of the Canaries and Madeira. But I have asked for a quotation for Atlantic crossing and got declined as "Unfortunately it is no longer possible to cover the vessel any further than the Canaries. This is due to underwriters guidelines"!
Last year I asked for it and I got it. So what the hell???
I had to make a call to them and apparently they are not covering boats which are less than £80k in value anymore and I am the first one to be declined.
They might give us third party liability but obviously it is not enough!
What should I do next? Are there any other good yacht insurance companies?
