Apparently I was lucky, very lucky to have nearly windless last two days (only 168nm in 48 hours) before reaching Pitcairn island. And still landing was rough. Afterwards have met other sailboats who could not land.
But it was a success and the whole time I was in awe (not to forget that it was first step on land after 22 days of sailing).
Unfortunately it was only a half a day stop as the weather cast was showing strong winds the next day and it looked better to leave earlier for another 300nm trip to Îles Gambier, so I got an impresive quick tour on a back of a quad.
One day I would like to return and to stay there longer.
