This is it!
England to New Zealand.
More than 32000 nautical miles in less than 10 years.
Obviously plenty were spent away from the boat on land.
Clearly she was not built to sail the distance more than around the world.

Nearly 3 years spent in the Pacific.
Family and friends visited me and sailed more than 3000nm there. Despite that I single-handedly traveled more than 10000nm and still could make a route from Costa Rica to New Zealand alone. Does it count now as a Pacific crossing?

An apogee of sailing - Fiji to New Zealand. Escaping cyclone season. Many stories about rough journeys as weather depressions form within 5 days period and the passage usually takes more than a week, meaning sailing into cold wind and waves for a day or two.
But the weather was great! And, oh boy, Alka sang her last song, beating some own records of 24, 48 and 72 hours.

As the life is moving on and it might be a time to say farewell to part of my life and home on the water. One day there might be another Alka.
To be continued...
